Mike won't be aible to play next week in Portugese so the band searched for a new guitarist and found Ol Drake from Evile, who's willing to play that gig. For him it is a wish coming true as he's a huge Destruction-fan and so he can alreadyy play most of the set.

Destruction will have two releaseparties for the upcoming livealbum.

The first one will take place in Bern, Switzerland on september, 26th. Schmier anounced some surprises for this event.

Another party will take place in Germany. It will be at the Kultopia in Hagen at september, 27th. Tickets will cost 15-17 Euro and first 80 visitors will get a beer for free.

As I said some hours ago, the Mad Butcher returns on the new cover. The artist is again Gyula Havancsák (mySpace), who also did the last two Destruction-albums and Headhunters last album.

A little hint: The guy getting his cut throat must be the same guy, who stole Mike's guitar.

And now the name of this release is official: The Curse Of The Antichrist - Live In Agony. The "life" will get changed to "live" until the release.

Schmier wrote some word about the last weeks here. He not only wrote about the tour around the world, but also he gives some news about the upcoming new double-live-CD which will have the Mad Butcher on its cover. SPV declared insolvent

As you can read here, SPV declared insolvent. The reason for me to write this down at this place is, that SPV promised to rerelease some old classic-albums. Some of them were out of the time, when Destruction where signed by this label.

Let's hope the best for SPV, not only because of the Destruction-rereleases.

AFM-Sampler with Destruction

On May, 15, 2009 AFM will release a sampler called "Thrash 'til Death". It will feature Destruction and Headhunter.

CD 1 has some newer stuff to offer, while CD 2 is absolutely old school.

Today finally arrived the special limited edition of the new album. Here are some pictures to share my happiness.

This is what you see, when you unpack your order:

Back:

The bag is made of thick, tearproof material with many pockets and buckles made of metal. It looks very excellent and not only the first impression tells you, that this bag is high-quality. The logo isn't embroidered but printed and reflective.

I'm not very happy with the backpatch: It seems, that it had to be finished very fast, because first there was a flag advertised for this package.
You can see the little dots the picture is made of and the textile is quite thin.
Also the picture itself isn't very good, in my eyes. I don't like people on my patches. It would have been much better to take the cover artwork for this patch, as it is a absolutely great picture. I'd like to know, if it was planned to do so or if it even ever was an idea to print the cover on it.
So all in all this backpatch won't find its' way on my vest, but only on my wall.

This is the whole package: The autograph card isn't signed by hand.
The belt has a very good quality: it is made of thick leather and the spikes aren't loose as they wre on my old belt, which destroyd some of my best shirts. The buckle is made of metal.
The D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.-logo is printed in silver letters and stamped into the leather just like the Destruction-logo in the front is. The belt's size is L.

In the end some words about the digipak of album. It is absolutely killer! The skull in the front isn't only in high gloss, but also stamped! In the middle you can also find some elements in high gloss, making the digipak very noble.
The booklet is the same as in the normal version but the cd has another motive.

Hopefully I can tell you something about the japanese version of D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N., because you can find a cover of Tanks "Shellshock". But until that day I will enjoy my package I just got.

And before I forget it: The fan bag also contains "Thrash Anthems", but I think everyone owns it for a long time.

As you can see at the offizial Sodom-page, Christian "Chris Witchhunter" Dudek died last night. If you want, you can leave a message in a digital condolence book there.

He helped Destruction at their Eternal Devastation-Tour, after Tommy left the band, but first of all no Thrasher will ever forget him for his job he did for Sodom.

Today is a Thrash Metal-feast day, because today D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. is released officially; at least in germany.
All fans and friends of special editions should be fast and buy the limited edition with army bag, belt and many more. I think, this package won't be available for a long time.

As I promised, I want to tell you something about the enhanced part of the new CD, which is on every CD, not only the limited edition.
First of all, you can get some more wallpapers.
Second, you can get a voucher for designskins.com to get an designskin for your notebook or anything else in D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.-design.
The most interesting part for me is a section, which will be available in the future. Here you can listen to exclusive new songs long before they will be released. This is a dream for any Destruction-maniac like I am... To see, if there are new songs, you don't have to take a look every day at this page. Multimedia-Bonus

I just put the CD in my computer to see, what the enhanced part has to offer. First of all, you can see a video with studio-impressions to the song "Vicious Circle - The 7 Deadly Sins". You can also see this at the myspace-page.
All people, who like to hear their music with their pc have a mediaplayer with the complete-album.
The slideshow sadly is a little bit to short, but again you can see the pictures from the booklet. Some of them I wouldn't show little children - they are really very scary.
You can find all those pictures also as wallpapers on the CD.
Currently I can't tell you something about the online-lounge, because it isn't online yet. It surely will be until friday and then I can tell you more about it.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to meet Schmier at the Rockfabrik and he gave me the new album. I had planned to listen to D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. for the first time when it has it's official release, because I will of course buy the limited edition with army bag, belt and all the other things. But I couldn't resist and after I had the chance to have a listen to the album in the Rockfabrik, I put the CD in my CD-player. At home I don't have the volume like in a metal disco, of course, but the songs didn't loose any of their pressure.

This is my first time listening to the new release for some weeks and at that time I didn't have the booklet, so let me tell you something about it: Most of you have seen the artwork before and I think the idea of composing the skull of different things and persons is ingenious. What you not see on pictures on the internet is the high gloss of the skull. And when you have the booklet in your hands, turn it! Does anything special attract your attention? I would say, for the first time you won't see something special. But move the booklet in light. Cool, isn't it?

Now I will try to see the whole album not being a Destruction-maniac, but being a normal thrash metal-fan: The CD is very varied, but also heavy as a steel beam. No metalhead will be satiesfied with this album. Having listened to the album for some more times will underline my statement, that this is the best album of the whole discography. I know, the album isn't out now, but I have to tell you, that it will be hard for the band to beat

Also you want to hear something negative, don't you? Ok, here it is: the titles on the back aren't numbered, so you always have to count, which song is running at the moment. It that all? Yes, it is the only negative point, I can say. You'll see that this ain't a real negative point, because every song of the album starts with another letter from D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. and so it would have been ugly to add the numbers.

On the backside of the CD you can read something about a multimediaplayer for PC with video, slideshow and online-lounge with voucher, lottery and much more. After not getting the CD out of my player - it will run for some hours now - I can't tell you, what to expect. But I will tell you, if I have tested it and I have more informations.

Only eight days till the release of D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. is reason enough for me to make this page official. I didn't complete all sections and the merchandise is missing completely but I give my best to put the contents online as soon as possible.

Sadly I wasn't able to integrate a guestbook but anybody, who wants to do me a favour can write a message in my old guestbook under this adress. I'm looking forward to get some greets, but also critics.

This was planed for months and even years and now I started it: Giving my old page total-desaster.de.vu a completely new design, putting new contents on it and have an english version. Now all the Destruction-maniacs from all around the world can enjoy my page.

I didn't use my english for quite a long time and I think, this is a good possibility to refresh my language. Of course there will be some mistakes in words and grammer. Please excuse me for this and tell me, if you found one. I give my best to correct them as fast as possible.
