Headhunter is the band, Schmier launched after he was kicked out of Destruction back in the year 1990. In the years he didn't work for Destruction, Schmier released three albums under the name "Headhunter". Altough they even toured in Japan, they didn't get the big success the band split up in 1996. Schmier started to earn money by running a bistro called "Baracuda".
After returning back to Destruction Schmier was aked more and more often about Headhunter, about doing a reunion, playing a new album or just to rerelease the old albums, because in the meantime they became quite rare.
AFM Records did the rerelease and in 2008 there came the fourth Headhunter-output. One of the very rare live gigs was played in the same year on the Wacken Open Air. This was the second gig after doing a warm up-show only some days before this and a break of more than ten years
